Dancing with the Crane - Madeline Island Blend

Spotted Horse features organic and fair trade coffees. We know where our coffee beans come from. On a worldwide scale, coffee is laden with pesticides, workers are exposed to hazards and profits are taken from poor and indigenous communities by large corporations and Third World militaries.

Coffee is political, and coffee has been a sword in the hearts of communities. We do not support that. We know that something as beautiful as coffee should come from a beautiful place. We also weant to create small business opportunities on our reservation and provide steady income to local indigenous people to roast the coffee right here, noopeming deep in the Northwoods.

This blend celebrates indigenous islands, including our sacred Mooningwaanekaaing, on Gichigamming, ancestral homeland of the Anishinaabeg. Our mission is to provde an excellent cup of coffee, fairly sourced and supportive of organic and women-owned farms.
